Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about what Viralux does — and what we don’t.
Is Viralux a medical provider?
No. Viralux LLC is a Florida-based travel and logistics concierge. We coordinate flights, lodging, ground transport, and recovery-environment support. We do not diagnose, treat, perform procedures, or provide medical advice. All clinical care is delivered by independent licensed surgeons and clinics in Medellín.
Who is this for?
American clients traveling to Medellín for plastic surgery or dental care, typically in groups of three or more — including bachelorette trips, birthday milestones, and friend getaways where one or more travelers are undergoing procedures and companions join for support.
Do you take a percentage of surgical fees?
No. You pay the clinic or surgeon for clinical care, and Viralux a separate coordination package based on group size and length of stay. Viralux does not add a percentage cut on top of your surgical fee.
How does pricing work?
Packages are priced by length of stay (e.g., 5–7, 8–12, or 13+ nights) with a base for three travelers and a per-person add-on beyond that. Current site pricing is marked TBD pending final productization; every inquiry receives a written quote. Clinical costs are quoted by the provider, not by Viralux.
How do I choose a surgeon?
We can introduce you to independent, licensed clinics and surgeons in Medellín. You review credentials, consult directly, and decide. Viralux facilitates introductions and scheduling logistics; we do not practice medicine or guarantee clinical outcomes.
What about companions who aren’t having procedures?
Companions are welcome and common. They’re included in group logistics (lodging, transfers, itinerary) and counted toward group size for package pricing. Companion days can be planned around clinic schedules so no one is stranded.
Is Medellín safe for medical travel?
Like any international destination, awareness and planning matter. We coordinate lodging and transport with recovery and group safety in mind, and we share practical travel guidance. We do not control local conditions; travelers should also review current US State Department guidance and their own comfort level.
What if something medical comes up during the trip?
Clinical issues are handled by your surgeon and clinic. Viralux can help with logistics around follow-up appointments, transport, or lodging changes — but we are not a substitute for medical care or emergency services.
